We interviewed refugee who arrived here Sept. 4 with group of 163 mentioned para 3 Hong Kong 12732. She said she left
Saigon for Danang with gold hidden in sandals (to avoid confiscation of gold if searched leaving Saigon) to arrange for departure by boat. Unsuccessful in Damang in making
contact, she went to Quang Ngai where she met an organizer. Agreed price was ten tacls gold. She was told that refugees had to organize themselves into family groups, and for unrelated refujees relationships would have to be invented. She was taken to Public Security Office along with four
