(3) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (1) of this section, any employee may be required by his employer to work on any holiday to which he would otherwise be entitled under the said sub- section and in such event he shall be paid an extra day's salary at the ordinary rate of pay for one day's work in addition to the ordinary rate of pay for that day and to a travelling allowance, if payable to him under the terms of his agreement with his employer, for one day:
Provided that no employee shall be entitled under the provisions of this subsection to receive double any housing allowance or food allowance.

Clause 34
If the employer requires the employee to work longer than the normal working hours as fixed by the employer under Clasuse 3, the employer shall pay overtime of not less than one and a half times the rate of hourly wage for normal working hours for the hours of overtime.
For the case of the employee receiving wages on a piece- work basis, the employer shall pay overtime not less than one and a half times the rate in normal working hours for the work dore in excess.
Clause 39
If the employee is assigned by the employer to work on the holiday, which he is entitled to receive his wages, the employer shall pay a holiday pay to the employee at the following rates:
(1) For hourly or other period employee, an additional
amount of not less than one time the rate of wage for working days, according to the working hours on the holiday;
(2) For piece-work employee, an additional amount of
not less than one time the rate of wage, according to the work performed on the holiday.
Clause 40
If the employee is assigned by the employer to work on the holiday, which the former is not entitled to receive his wage, the employer shall pay a holiday pay to the employee at the following rates:
