De pendants' benefits

Primary beneficiaries

Monthly income benefit equal to that paid for permanent

total disability for 5 years or a total maximum of

12,000 pesos (HK$7,200). The Monthly benefit is

increased by 10% for every dependent child not exceeding five children.

Secondary beneficiaries

Lump sum benefit of the lowest of

(a) 6,000 pesos (HK$3,600);

(b) 35 times the monthly income benefit;

(c) the unpaid balance of income benefit if the

employee dies within 5 years while receiving income benefit for permanent total disability

Compensation for temporery incapacity:

Half-monthly payment of $195 (about HK$390) or 1/3 of monthly earnings, whichever is the less, payable for a maximum period of 5 years.

Compensation for permanent incapacity:

Maximum payable is a lump sum of $45,000 (about HK$90,000) calculated in accordance with the

following formula:

% incapacity x monthly earnings x multiplying factor

(non-fatal case)

Minimum for total incapacity: $10,800 (about HK$21,600)

De pendants' compensation:

Maximum compensation payable is $35,000 (about HK$70,000) or less calculated in accordance with the following formula:

monthly earnings x multiplying factor (fatal cases)

Minimum: $10,800 (about HK$21, 600)

Constant attendance allowance:

Additional compensation of of the amount awarded for permanent total incapacity.

Medical benefits:

Medical treatment, hospitalisation, medicines.
