Benefits

Temporary disablement benefit:

60% of earnings, of which 3/5 is payable to the widow and 2/5 to the children.

Funeral expenses:

M100 (HK$200) or the expenses, whichever is the less.

Monthly income benefit is equal to the monthly income benefit for permanent total disability for a number of months (ranging from 2 to 40 months) in accordance with the schedule.

Monthly salary credit

means the wage or salary base for contributions as provided in Republic Act No. 1161 which is approximately equivalent to the mid-point of a salary bracket of which there are ten.

Average monthly salary credit

means the average of monthly salary credits for the 60-month period immediately preceding death or total permanent disability.

Primary beneficiaries

means the dependent spouse and children.

Secondary beneficiaries

means the dependent parents, illegitimate children and legitimate de scendants.
