Contract of employment
No legislation on the duration of a contract of employment
A contract for probationary employment should not be more
than 180 days.
Notice for termination
Notice must be in writing and not less than:
(a) 1 day for service of less than
26 weeks;
(b) 1 week for service between 26
weeks and less than 2 years; (c) 2 weeks for service between 2
and less than 5 years; (d) 4 weeks for service of 5 years
or more.
Or payment in lieu of notice.
Notice period is not prescribed by law, but the employee is entitled to severance pay (see last column).

On termination of employment other than summary dismissal, an indemnity is payable:
(a) 30 days' wages for continuous ser between 120 days and one year;
