Remarks
The Factories and Industrial Undertakings Regulations stipulate that no woman or young person employed in an industrial undertaking shall be permitted to carry any load which is unreasonably heavy having regard to the age and physical development.
Article 2(2) of the Employment of Women, Children and Young Persons Ordinance of 17th December 1925 only stipulates that "a child under 12 may not in general move burdens in or for an undertaking if this is known to exert too great a demand upon its energy".
Although there is no legal restriction on the maximum weight, the weaker physique of women and young persons is generally recognised.
