Action in Hong Kong
The Workmen's Compensation (Amendment) Ordinance 1977, which was passed by the Legislative Council on 21.12.77, enables the removal of the modification in respect of Article 9, which entitles an injured workman to medical aid at the expense of the employer. A proposed improved declaration will be submitted to the FCO shortly.
The Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Amendment) Ordinance 1977 was passed by the Legislative Council on 21.12.77. "Airport" has been included within the definition of an "industrial undertaking" A proposed improved declaration will be submitted to the FCO shortly. (Subrutted on 3/1/78).
