(a) Duty rosters
The Airport operating hours are from 0630-2359 hours local time with provision being made, due to unforeseen problems, for aircraft arriving outside these hours. Peak traffic is experienced from 1300-1700 local time, .this being handled by the afternoon watch (1250-2000 hours local time); during this period the following positions are manned:-

Relief Controller
This gives a total of 15 Controllers and 1 Supervisor who is responsible for the operational and administrative functions of the duty watch. Controllers are given at least one half- hour break during a watch, radar controllers being relieved after each two hours of radar duty. During periods of light traffic i.e. in the evening watches when traffic is relatively light there are on average 8 Controllers plus the Watch Supervisor on duty.

(e) Sick leave with pay
6 months on full pay and 6 months on half pay in any period of 4 years may be granted to an officer who has completed 4 years' service. An officer with less than 4 years' service is eligible for 3 months' sick leave on full pay and months on half pay.
(f) Retirement Age
The normal retirement age is 55. An officer may apply for early retirement at any time after reaching 50 or for an extension of service up to 60.
(g) Pensions
1/50 of salary x years of service (maximum 2/3).
