The Workmen's Compensation (Amendment) (No.2) Ordinance 1978 establishing a pneumoconiosis compensation scheme was passed by the Legislative Council on 7.6.78 and will come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor. As soon as subsidiary legislation has been enacted, the scheme will be brought into effect and a proposed improved declaration will be submitted.
