Remarks
¡
Wages records are being kept by es ployers in a variety of forms vinich meet their own requirements. There is no statutory requirement to keep such records in a prescribed manner, and a standardised format is not considered necessary at present.
It is not proposed to introduce statutory minimum wages in agricultu at present. Agriculture is carried mainly by small holders who are eith self-employed or members of farmers" families.
Enforcement in the private sector presents great problems but consul- tation with industry and commerce is proceeding.
There are no proposals to introduce comprehensive social security scheme. in Hong Kong.
Illiteracy of fishing boat owners ar fishermen and traditionally harmonic relations render implementation in- practical and unnecessary at this stage.
Enforcement likely to present great difficulties.
