THE UK DE LEGATION AGREED THAT, IN VIEW OF THE BA/SWISSAIR AGREEMENT AND THE SWISS GOVERNMENT'S ACCEPTANCE OF ADDITIONAL ROUTES FOR BA AND THE IR AGREEMENT TO GIVE UP BAHRAIN/DHAHRAN, THE SWISSAIR SERVICES TO HONG KONG MIGHT CONTINUE AT THE IR PRESENT CAPACITY (IE 5 X DC10 FER WEEK) BUT THAT, AS REQUESTED IN HONG KONG TELNO 267 OF 4 MARCH, THE UK WOULD REQUIRE SWISSAIR TO LIMIT THE IR SERVICES ON EACH OF THE BOMBAY-HONG KONG VV, DANGKOK-HONG KONG VV AND TOKYO-HONG KONG VV SECTORS TO THE PRESENT 3 X DC10 SERVICES PER WEEK, ALTHOUGH ADDITIONAL SERVICES MIGHT BE MOUNTED WITHOUT FIFTH-FREEDOM RIGHTS. A CMU ON THE SE LINES WAS SIGNED. 6. THE DA/SWISSAIR AGREEMENT IS FOR A PERIOD OF FIVE YEARS AND THE TWO GOVERNMENTS HAVE AGREED IN THE CMU TO REVIEW IT NOT LATER.. THAN 1 OCTOBER 1933. PROVISION IS MADE FOR EARLIER DISCUSSIONS IF THE SITUATION WARRANTS THEM.
