we think it might be preferable to try to discourage them
from pursuing their proposal. If Lių, during his recent discussion
with Rogers was accurately reflecting Peking's views it
would appear that the possibility of finding CAAC aircraft and CAL
aircraft side by side on the apron at Kaitak is something that
worries them still. It would be a pity if this were to become a
major issue just when it is beginning to look as though we might
make some progress over the signing of the Air Services Agreement.
