(Chapter 99)
KOWLOON-CANTON RAILWAY (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1978
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 29(2)
of the Kowloon-Canton Railway Ordinance, the general
manager, with the approval of the Governor in Council,
has made the following regulations

Amendment of regulation 3. (Cap. 99, sub. leg.)
Addition of regulation 4A.
1. These regulations may be cited as the Kowloon-
Canton Railway (Amendment) Regulations 1978.
2. Regulation 3(2) of the principal regulations
is deleted.
3. The principal regulations are amended by adding,
after regulation 4, the following regulation
"Prepayment of fares and inspection of tickets.
4A. (1) No person, unless exempted
from the payment of fare by or under the
Ordinance, shall enter any railway carriage
for the purpose of travelling therein
without having first paid his fare and
obtained a ticket.
(2) Every person shall upon payment of
his fare be furnished with a ticket
specifying the class of carriage and the
station from and the station to which the
fare has been paid.
