WE ARE ALSO HOPING TO GET, WITH CLP'S AGREEMENT, THE MANUFACTURER OF THE FIRST TWO SUB-STATIONS (EXPECTED TO BE BROWN BOVERI) TO SUB-CONTRACT A SIGNIFICANT PROPORTION OF THE WORK TO BRITISH MANUFACTURERS. THIS MIGHT BE OF THE ORDER OF TWENTY FIVE PERCENT. SUCH SUB-CONTRACTING WILL BE FOR THE ANCILLARY EQUIPMENT RATHER THAN THE SWITCHGEAR ITSELF SO IT WILL NOT BE ALL THAT HELPFUL TO GEC AND NEI. BUT NEVERTHELESS IT IS WORTH HAVING. IF WE SUCCEED AND I AM REASONABLY HOPEFUL AT THIS STAGE, THEN THE PACKAGE WILL BECOME THAT MUCH BETTER.
