Sir Lawrence Kadoorie will be visiting London from 29 July to 14 August. As you know, further important contracts for the Hong Kong power station project are currently being negotiated, and if the Prime Minister could spare the time to see Sir Lawrence briefly it would naturally be helpful in maintaining Sir Lawrence's sympathetic attitude towards Britain. Mr Dell, Mr Williams and senior officials will however be seeing Sir Lawrence during his visit.
I should be grateful if you could let me know whether the Prime Minister would be able to see Sir Lawrence between these dates.
