In accordance with paragraph 2 of the above, I object to the proposed lease at Po Lo Tsui, Lamma Island for the construction of a power station on the ground that the terms and conditions of the proposed lease do not specify any environmental conditions or controls whatsoever.
Such conditions and controls would be necessary wherever an industrial plant of this nature was to be located. On Lamma, for obvious reasons, the terms and conditions should be particularly stringent.
