The Chief Secretary has considered the proposals set out in Alan Williams' letter of 26 May for the inclusion of technical consultancy services from the CEGB as part of the UK offer for Units 3 and 4 and the proposed new transmission system.
This letter confirms the Chief Secretary's agreement to those arrangements, which has already been conveyed orally to the Department.
I am sending copies of this letter to the Private Secretaries to the Prime Minister and the Secretaries of State for Energy, Trade and Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.
