HMG will accordingly stand ready to facilitate purchases of coal and other raw materials on the same basis by other parties with a view to financing further orders for UK capital goods.

HMG, through the medium of the Department of Industry, is ready to enter into discussions with the appropriate UK companies about the capital goods requirements of the Peoples Republic of China once these are known. HMG, through the medium of ECGD,
is also ready to enter into discussions with the Peoples Republic of China on the consequent contractual arrangements for the supply of such capital goods.
