I refer to our tel ephone conversation of this afternoon and enclose the formal request for approval from the Lords Commissioners to the issue of a new $1 coin in Hong Kong.
The Hong Kong Government wish to make the Proclamation in the very near future and, since it is through my fault that the request to the Lords Commissioners has been made, I should be very grateful for anything you can do to obtain their urgent approval. Could I ask that you telephone at the number above on Friday morning with some indication of the likely timescale.
