ARRANGEMENT REGARDING INTERNATIONAL TRADE IN TEXTILES
Agreement between Austria and Hong Kong
The Textiles Surveillance Body has received a notification from Austria transmitting a Memorandum of Understanding with Hong Kong concerning a bilateral surveillance system with respect to certain textile products exported from Hong Kong to Austria. The TSB noted that this system supersedes the previous bilaterally agreed restriction under Article 3 on exports of shirts, not knitted, which was previously reviewed by the TSB and circulated to the Textiles Committee in COM.TEX/SB/223. Since this is a bilateral surveillance system, the TSB decided to transmit the text to the participating countries for their information without reference to any specific Article in the Arrangement.
