1. Generalized preferences
If the use of generalized preferences could lead to a positive outcome to the negotiations, the Commission will forward appropriate proposals to the competent Council departments (1).
(1) The Commission representative wished to stress that, in
his view, if generalized preferences were not used it would be impossible to conclude certain particularly difficult negotiations successfully.
