Sir Anthony Royle (Richmond): To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what is the total of Government spending by the Hong Kong Government for the forthcoming year; and what proportion of this figure will be raised from additional taxes, increased borrowing or by calling upon Hong Kong's reserves.

Total estimated expenditure by the Hong Kong Government for the financial year 1978/79 is HK$ 10,266m. (approximately £1,208m.), an increase of 26% on 1977. None of the revenue will be raised through additional taxes, borrowing or by drawing on
reserves.
