Thank you for your letter of 15th February, 1978, and for your interest in my report.

The answer to your enquiry may be found in the Financial Secretary's reply in the Legislative Council on 25th January, 1978, to the question put by the Honourable F.W. Li, in which Mr. Haddon-Cave said that detailed procedures were being worked out and that it was proposed to set up the Public Accounts Committee in time to consider my Report and Certificate on the Government accounts for the year ending 31st March, 1978.

The changes necessary to the Standing Orders of the Legislative Council and the minor amendments required to the Audit Ordinance are now under consideration in the Government Secretariat, to whom I have passed a copy of your letter for such further action as they may deem appropriate.
