40. Security of Sensitive Message Traffic. Certain messages, particularly in the initial stages of the operation, are likely to contain sensitive national information, or to have political implications. Such messages must be secured by the use of the national caveat "UK EYES B", or the restrictive marking "UK COMMS ONLY", as appropriate. Instructions to originators on the use of these markings are contained in the following single-Service publications:

For security reasons this plan should be given restricted circulation in Hong Kong and is not to be reproduced in whole or part without reference to the issuing authority.

42. Codeword. The codeword SWISH is allotted to this operation; its meaning if the replacement of local labour in Hong Kong in accordance with Joint Theatre Plan No 68 (Fourth Revise). The codeword is classified RESTRICTED; its meaning is CONFIDENTIAL. It is only to be used to implement the operation and subsequently to refer to it. The Joint Theatre Plan number, not the codeword, is to be used in all other cases when referring to the plan before its implementation.
