By an Eastabout Route. Timings would depend on the route selected but it is likely that completion time of the airlift would be several hours before that by the Westabout route. The requirements of aircraft preparation and route activation are likely to dictate that at least 26 hours must elapse between G hour and H hour.

C. If JTP No 30 is implemented concurrently, completion times will be extended.

24.

ADMINISTRATION AND LOGISTICS

Deployment Scales. Replacement personnel are to move with 5 days supply of composite rations and with scales of equipment and clothing as directed by single-Service departments in MOD. Tradesmen are to take individual tool kits, where appropriate.

25. Reception of Replacement Personnel. Single-Service Commanders in Hong Kong are to arrange for reception, accommodation and maintenance of replacement personnel.

26. Commander British Forces Cyprus. If an Eastabout route is to be used, CBF Cyprus is to:

a.

Inform MOD of the requirement for individual reinforcements for the support of RAF Akrotiri. This will be done by reference to the Serials in Annexes D and E.

b. Provide staging facilities at RAF Akrotiri.

COMMAND AND CONTROL

27. Mounting of Operations. The operation will be mounted through single- Service channels as instructed by MOD.

28. Command.

A. On arrival, replacement personnel are to come under the operational command of their respective single-Service commanders in Hong Kong.

AOCINCSTC will retain full command of Strike Command aircraft and supporting elements.
