Mr Alan Scott, Secretary for Housing in Hong Kong has written to me saying that he will be in London on 16 May and would like to call in at the Office. He has asked to see you and has further asked if you and Mr Cortazzi could have lunch with him on that day. I have replied saying that for both of you it is probably impossible to pin yourselves down so long in advance but I would pass on the invitation and suggest you pencil it in your diaries.
