I am writing further to Jolyon Dromgoole's letter of 20 June 1978 and on behalf of Colin Humphreys who is on leave at present.

The purpose of this letter is to give you the timetable of meetings planned for your visit in September (attached at Annex A) and to forward summaries of the three studies called for under NST 7015, together with a note on MOD(Navy) procedures. These papers are attached at Annex B.

You will see that the final paragraphs of each study report call for your agreement to various proposals. It would certainly be best from our point of view if we could go into all the details during the discussion period following the study presentations on Tuesday 12 September; I hope that you will then be able to give us your agreement in principal before you leave us. We would then be able to take account of your views before the NSR is circulated and so keep subsequent amendments to a minimum.
