POLISH CONSULAR PRESENTATION IN HONG KONG
1.
Please refer to Derek Milton's letter of 30 Septembe 1976 to Alan Donald.
2. You will shortly be receiving a circular despatch about amending the Consular Convention with Poland. Although this involves an extension of the privileges granted to Polish Consular officials, I do not imagine that it will cause any practical difficulties in Hong Kong: neither the present Folish Consul-General or his predecessor hare ever tried to visit the Colony.
3. As we have received no reply to Derek Milton's letter, I presume that you are not unduly worried that the Polish Consul-General in London is accorded jurisdiction over Hong Kong, and I have, therefore, not thought to alter the draft despatch.
