Development Co-ordinating
Committee
Purpose
To advise on the development and co-ordination of rehabilitation services.
(August to October 1978)
Present Position
(a) The Committee considered and advised on
the recommendations from the Sub- committees in implementing the Rehabilitation White Paper.
(b) The creation of a Rehabilitation
Subventions Sub-head in 1979/80 Estimates has been approved in principle. The Committee will
be asked to advise on the principles
of subvention and the priorities to be allocated to projects.
(c) The Committee has been re-appointed
for another year with effect from 30th September 1978. Specialist Sub-committees will be re-appointed shortly.
Timetable
(a) To consider other matters within
its terms of reference.
(b) To devise a procedure for
processing applications to subvent rehabilitation services.
(c) To re-appoint specialist'
sub-committees.
