To submit a Memorandum to the Executive
After considering tentative proposals regarding the response to be made to the bid by the Joint Council of Parent/Teacher Associations to provide Council, better standards through higher fees, the Acting Govemor instructed that discussions should be initiated with the English Schools Foundation regarding:
(a) the financing of the English Schools
Foundation through a block grant; and
(b) the disestablishment of Government
English schools.
These matters were discussed at a series of mootings with the Secretary, English Schools Foundation, and an Executive Council Memorandum has now been drafted.
