COMMUNITY FACILITIES
One auditorium for every half million to one million
population. Completion dates:

One sports stadium for every half million.

Tuen Mun : 1983/84
Provision of hospitals is subject to an assessment of
regional and local needs; thirteen are planned.
Clinics are planned on the same basis; there will be
thirty-six clinics in operation in the N.T. by 1986.
One branch library is provided for every 200,000 people.
Smaller libraries or book-box or mobile library services will
be provided where there is sufficient population and demand.
One standard 24 classroom primary school is provided
per 18,000 persons.
112 secondary schools will be provided by 1981
in the N.T. : detailed plans for the period thereafter
are not yet available.
One swimming pool complex for every 250,000 persons
but provision of swimming facilities on a lesser scale
is considered where the population build-up does not
warrant a full-scale complex.
