I have the honour to inform you that I have appointed Mr. LI Fook-wo, OBE, JP, provisionally and subject to Her Majesty's pleasure with effect from 22nd February 1978 to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council during the absence from the Colony of Sir Yuet-keung KAN, CBE, JP.

Mr. Li's previous appointment referred to in your despatch HKK 011/1 dated 11th January 1978 expired on 8th January 1978 following the return of Sir Yuet-keung KAN, CBE, JP.
Copies of the instrument of appointment and of the Gazette notice promulgating the appointment are attached.
