I have the honour to inform you that I have appointed the Honourable LI Fook-wo, OBE, JP, provisionally and subject to Her Majesty's pleasure with effect from 14th July 1978 to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council during the absence from the Colony of the Honourable Sir Sze-yuen CHUNG, CBE, JP. I have also appointed the Honourable P. G. WILLIAMS, OBE, JP, to be provisionally an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council with effect from 20th July 1978 during the absence from the Colony of the Honourable Mrs. Joyce SYMONS, CBE, JP.

Mr. Li's previous appointment referred to in your despatch HK 011/2 dated 6th June 1978 expired on 30th June 1978 following the return of the Honourable ANN Tse-kai, CBE, JP.

Mr. Williams' previous appointment referred to in your despatch HK 011/2 dated 21st September 1977 expired on 3rd October 1977 following the return of Sir Sidney GORDON, CBE, JP.
