LETTER FROM LABOUR PARTY TO SECRETARY OF STATE.
1.
I attach a draft for consideration for part of a reply from S of S to Miss Little.
2. I have not, as yet, cleared it with WIAD as we will require to consult Rhodesia Dept. Before doing so I thought that you would wish to see whether it is on the right lines so far.
3. As far as I ama aware this is the first communication from Transport House regarding the executions/Tropps in Bermuda.
4 Mr Stephen will probably know how the writer likes to be addressed (Miss, Ms, MRS)

I agree generally. It would be helpful though to point out that HMG has ashed the territories concerned to abolish capital punishment and it is the decision notors not to do so: I have suggested an addition to panz. I assume the Rhodesia Department will have a standard reply on why we do not use Britial troops to impose our will in Rhodesia .....
