1s that Ministers are determined to do what they can to prevent any further executions taking place. In the circumstances it is obviously of the highest importance that any case now in progress should not reach a point at which a final decision on execution has to be taken; anything that can properly be done to delay the progress of such a case to give time for parliamentary action to be taken here should be done!!
