REGISTRY ¡Action Taken

Mr.

Dear Min Faroell,

I am very much enjoyed that after such a long time it was you see (10) who gave me the informations which I needed.

Please, admit that I try to say my "thanks" by sending you a little picture of my town as it looked like two centuries ago. Perhaps, you have a little place on a wall in your office to pin it there if you like it.

: if

In your letter one sentence is not quite clear to me possible, please, answer these last questions. You wrtite:".. details of stamp issues are worked out between

Postal Administrations and the Governements of the Territories concerned with the approval of HM Govern- ment who has, however, ultimate responsibility in the final analysis."

How does this work?

I can imagine the following: The Crown Agents make their proposals to the Adminsitrations + Governments, these agree, and than the pro- posals are brought to your office for final approval and this happens for the issue-program of each year Is it so ?

Or do the first proposals come from the autochthone institutions, then go to the Crown Agents and further to your office ?

Who makes it sure, that there are not too many issues, too many miniature sheets, defenite sets only all three or four years and so on ? That means: who has the general controll your office I presume.

And last not least must the proposals for New Hebrides also go to

:

Paris for approval ?

"A Year Book of the Commonwealth" I know and will see next time in our State Library in Munich

thank you!
