John Pinches (Medallists) Ltd.

Franklin designs, manufactures and sells coins, medals and

non-medallic items for sale to collectors, commercial accounts and

retail customers.

Also produces circulatory coinage for a number of

foreign countries and is considered to be the world's largest mint.

Prior to the upsurge in demand for numismatic coins, Franklin

specialised mostly in Las Vegas gambling tokens but by end 1976

world-wide coin and medal sales had totalled $600mn. Present

press reports suggest that Franklin may be encountering "earnings

trouble" as a result primarily of a slump in medallion sales.
