1. You will recall that it was agreed that we would seek the formal approval of the Dependent Territories Senior Appointments Board to the extension of Peter Lloyd's appointment as Deputy Governor until the end of April 1979. The Board met on 17 November and agreed that they should advise the Secretary of State accordingly. He has now approved the recommendation.
2.
Provided you see no objection, I should be grateful if you would pass on the enclosed letter to Peter Lloyd. informing him officially of the extension.
