1. Arrangements have to be made to fill the post of
British Resident Commissioner, New Hebrides, to replace
Br J Champion who is retiring in October 1978.
2. The Lependent Territories benior Appointments Board
has been consulted and has agreed that their advice to
the secretary of state should be that br A C Stuart
(biographical note attached) should be appointed.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the Locretary of
tate should approve the advice of the
Dependent territories .enior Appointments
Board. If the ecretary of tate agrees
action will be put in hand leading to
Ir „tuart's formal appointment.
