1. The Secretary of State has agreed with the Prime Minister that the appointment of Sir Murray MacLehose as Governor of Hong Kong should be extended until August 1979.
2.
Before this extension can be submitted to The Queen for
approval the agreement of members of the Dependent Territories Senior Appointments Board must be sought. I should be grateful if you would ask the Minister of State whether he agrees with
the extension.
