(b) Non-pensionable education allowances to overseas officers for a maximum of four children
between the ages of 11 and 19 undergoing full-time secondary education in a boarding school (or in exceptional cases a day school) in the officer's country of origin as degfared and accepted by Government for leave and passage purposes. The allowances are calculated at whatever are
the prevailing O.S.A.S. rates.
Note:
Education allowances are payable from the beginning of the school term next after the date
of the officer joining Government.
Education allowances do not count as part of salary for any purpose (e.g. gratuity, points for
quarters, passages, etc.)
All salaries and allowances paid in Hong Kong are subject to Hong Kong Salaries Tax.

(i) one increment for every completed year/2 years of relevant experience in excess of entry

́secondment), gratuity (for officers appointed on ageement), Widows' and Orphans Pension Scheme,
etc., please refer to the current Memorandum on Conditions of Service in Hong Kong.
The officer should be appointed on probation for
