GOVERNOR MONSERRAT

1. Thank you for sending me a copy of the letter from Mr Wyn Jones to David Dale under cover of your minute of 12 April 1978.

2. We should certainly like to see him in HKGD and would be glad if you give us a date for this in due course. It would be most convenient on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday since Mr Hall would also like to see him and these are his days in the office.

2. To take the points which he raises in so far as they effect this Section:-

Fares/Subsistence

The Territory is responsible for the Governor's leave passage only. If he is called to the office for consultations while on leave then of course it need not be charged to the Territory. Họ can get a claim førm from us and have his expenses refunded.

Appointments for the Governor

It is the responsibility of the Geographical Department to draw up a programme for his visit and to notify Ministers, Protocol Lepartment, etc. of his presence in UK. (See Chapter 1, para. 15(f) and Chapter 16 Section D 1(j) of Dependent Territories Departmental Practice). I have advised
