As Government House here is comparatively new, no major rennovations to the building should be required for some time to come. The furniture and furnishings are in quite good condition but there are some signs of wear and I have thought it prudent to make modest provision for annual repairs and / or replacement.
5. I have made no provision for requirements arising from an internal security problem (you will recall that Government House here was ventilated last year by a score or so bullets! since hopefully, these requirements (eg outside floodlighting) will be met before any UK funds might be forthcoming.
