INJINY HERIT

This Section applies to all Governors holding office who are injured on or after

the date of coming into operation of 13 Scheme

in any of the circumstances set in rule 4.2.

4.2 Benefits in accordance with the provisions of this Section may be paid to my

Governor to whom this Section applies and

who is injured in the course of his duty;

b.. who suffers an injury which is directly attributable to his being employed,

or holding office as a Governor;

Or

who contracts a disease to which he is exposed by the nature of his duty; 01"

d. who suffers an aggravation of a disease from which he is already suffering

being an aggravation to which he was exposed because of his duty as a Governor;

except that benefits will not be payable if the said injury or disease, or aggrava-

tion, is wholly or mainly due to or is seriously oggravated by his own serious and culpable negligence or misconduct. Any reference in the following provisions of this section to injury" will be taken to include a reference to "disease", and references to a person being injured and to the date of which an injury is sustainsù will be construed respectively as including references to his contracting a discase

and to the date on which the disease is contracted, For the purposes of this Section

"injury" in the course of duty menus injury occurring at any time during his appofui-

ment as a Governor except when he is on leave.

Scale of Benefits

4.3

A Governor who has sustainedran injury in circumstances which satisfy the conditions of paragraph 4.2 may be paid a pension which when added to

any pension payable from public funds or for which all or part of the contri- butions are payable from public funds or a pension granted in respect of service

in the oversea civil service;

and

ang national Insurance benefits in respect of his injury which are payable

to him;

will provide an income of not less than the guranteed minirom income at the rate

provided in the following table appropriate to the circumstances of his case.
