on the day before the date on which the former's pension is due to come into

payment.

7.32 Subject to paragraph 7.31, an allocation declaration will have effect:

(a) from the date on which it is lodged with the Minister, if the allocation is made under paragraph 7.1(a);

(b) from the date of the marriage of the Governor making the allocation, if the allocation is made under paragraph 7.1(b).

If the date on which an allocation declaration has effect is such that an over-

payment of pension has been made to the Governor making the allocation or to the

beneficiary, the over-payment will be recovered from the next payment or payments

of pension to the person concerned.

Definitions

7.33 In this Section:

"beneficiary" means the person in whose favour an allocation is made;

"closing date" has the meaning assigned to it by paragraph 7.25;

"dependent" means a person (other than his spouse) who is wholly or mainly dependent on the Governor making an allocation;

"make an allocation" means make an allocation under paragraph 7.1;

"pension" means a pension under Section 3.
