Amendments proposed by AG to the draft Bill (designed to reform the law on vice) have been commented on by CP.
Proposals to amend the law to improve control over triads have been made by CP and are under consideration by AG and S for S. At the same time CP is preparing comprehensive proposals for a new Government anti-triad cam- paign.

Legislation has been drafted
to extend the age range of those liable to detention from 14-20 years to 14-24 years. Accom- modation for the older age group (21-24) is now under construction at the Sha Tsui Detention Centre.
