(a) The US National Institute of Drug
Abuse has agreed to finance in part
Mr. Bent Werboll's second consultancy. The Hong Kong Government is required to contribute approximately HK$16,000, as payment for Mr. Werbell's work in U.S. before his second visit to Hong Kong.
(b) The exact timing of Mr. Werbell's visit is being discussed with Manager, Data Processing. It is expected that his arrival will bo some time between May and July, 1977. (c) Submission for funds for the new
system has been made to D.F.S.
At 23.1.77 the daily attendance rate for detoxification centres is approxi- mately 25% and the rate for methadone maintenance contres is about 36%. Tho rates are steady and it was observed that fluctuations in attendance wore closely related to the availability of illicit drugs at street level.

Work out arrangements for Mr. Worbell's reception etc.
To continue to monitor and adjust the programme as necessary.
