b) Inspectorate recruitment has been
unsatisfactory, with, in particular, recruitment of local inspectors being disappointing. An inspectorate strength of 1426 on 1st April had risen to only 1487 by January 1st 113 short of the target figure of 1600 by 1st April, 1977. Consideration is being given to ways of increasing the numbers coming forward as recruit inspectors.

a) Difficulties have arisen with regard
to one of the private lots within the Dodwells Ridge Camp Site. Resumption of this lot is in hand. Refurbishing of the Dodwells Ridge site is complete, with only one or two minor works to be finished. Some cadets are already in residence. The school was opened as planned on January 31st. b) The project for a permanent School at
Shuen Wan was upgraded to Cat. A at the second review 1976 and construction 2. work is expected to begin in 1977 and be completed in April, 1980.
