Purpose
To ensure that Services' requirements for the use of Castle Peak Range for Firing practice and training are met.
Progress made and present position
HQBF have been informed that there are no present plans of foreseeable develop ments which would result in encroachment upon the present boundaries of the Castle Peak Range. SNT is drafting a paper seeking authority to resume Government ownership of small parcels of land occupied by villagers who may be exposed to risk during firing practices. It is intended that the villagers concerned shall receive compensation for loss of their land and be resettled elsewhere.
