Froposals to amend the law to improve control over the triads have been made by CP and are under consideration by AG and S. for S. with the assistance of a sub-committee of the Fight Violent Crime Committee.

Detention Centre Policy

To extend the scope of the system.
Legislation extending detention from the age group of 14-20 years include the 21 to 24 age group was enacted on 22/12/76 but has not been brought into force, pending completion of the accommodation for the 21-24 year olds, scheduled for May/June.
Regulations to be amended.
